This sector determines where you will stay because your lodge must be close to the starting point or the UWA office in Uganda to prevent delays in the morning. Even lodges require advance reservations because they can fill up quickly. If you wait until the last minute to book, you risk missing out. After all these bookings, you will need transportation to take you to the gorilla trekking center as well as to your accommodation. While some travelers opt to use public transportation, I would advise you to book your transportation through a tour operator.

If a bus experiences mechanical issues on the way, you risk missing your trek, but a company will ensure that you arrive at the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park destination in time for your gorilla trek.

Due to the nature of the roads connecting you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, we always recommend using a real safari land cruiser or jeep that is four-wheel-drive because it is very strong to navigate through any terrain or weather conditions.
