This 7-Days best of Uganda safari is planned to give you an unforgettable Uganda wildlife experience. It will take you to Murchison falls national park for game drives to meet the four members of the big five family (Elephants, Lions, Buffaloes, Leopard) and boat cruise, Ziwa rhino sanctuary for the white rhino experience, Queen Elizabeth National Park for game drives and boat safari on the Kazinga channel, search for the tree climbing Lions and end with Lake Mburo National Park for the night game drive and horseback riding.

Day 1; Pick up from Entebbe International airport – Drive to Kampala city

On your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our company representative and your safari driver guide for pick up and transfer to your booked hotel to check in and later be briefed about your 10 days Uganda safari.

Depending on your arrival time, you may go for Kampala city evening tour. Kampala is the capital city of Uganda and one of the most exciting cities in Africa with a variety of best sights that should not be missed on your visit to Uganda such as a visit to the Kabaka’s palace (Twekobe) and Idi Amin torture chambers, the Kabaka’s lake, the Old Kampala mosque (Gadaffi mosque) and the Uganda national museum. This day after your early morning breakfast, check out and start your drive to Murchison falls national park with a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for white rhino tracking.

Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can meet white rhinos in the wild, during rhino tracking you will have an opportunity to encounter rhinos closer to their feet with the help of your local guide and to stay with them for a maximum of one hour so you have to keep your camera on standby to capture all moments during rhino tracking.

After white rhino encounter, have refreshments, lunch and then continue with your drive to Murchison falls national park to explore the “Murchison Falls” with a hiking to top of the falls to watch how the whole Victoria Nile River forcing its self through a tiny gorge of about 7 meters which makes it to turn into a violent tempest for about 42 meters below forming the said to be the worlds’ strongest falls which is breathtaking sight.

Later, drive through the park and go to check in at your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight.

On this day after your fantastic breakfast, leave the lodge and go for your early morning game drive to encounter a variety of wildlife species both mammals and bird species. Murchison Falls National park is a home to over 76 both big and small mammals including 4 members of the big five family (Lion, Elephants, Caped buffaloes and Leopards) and over 450 bird species.

So, during your morning game drive, your driver guide will help you to spot numerous wildlife species such as Giraffes, Uganda kobs, hug Elephants, the fearless Lions, Oribis, Jackson hartebeest, Warthogs and many others including bird species.

After your adventurous game drive, have a short break to relax, have lunch and later go for your afternoon 3 hours boat cruise on the Victoria Nile which will you up to the bottom of the falls. While on Nile boat cruise, you will enjoy viewing a variety of wildlife animals such as hippopotamuses, Nile crocodiles and others on the shores as they have come to take water such as elephants, waterbucks, caped buffaloes, Uganda kobs and many water lover birds such as red throated bee-eater, African fish eagle, malachite king fisher, rare shoebill stork.

After enjoying your 3 hours boat cruise, have a short break to have some refreshments and later go for your evening game drive specifically to search for the big predators of the park such as Lions, Leopards and Spotted hyenas since they are so active during evening hours. Dinner and an overnight

This day after your early morning heavy breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth national park for the big game sighting, boat cruise and searching for the tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most visited and popular savannah reserve in Uganda because of its widest diversity of wildlife. This park has diversity of habitats for different wildlife species such as grassland savannah for big and small grazing mammals, forests for primates and birds, wetlands and lakes for aquatic mammals, reptiles, birds and different fish species. This park is a home to four members of the Big five family and these include Lions, Leopard, Elephants and Buffaloes. Queen Elizabeth national park in habits over 100 species of big and small mammals and about 606 bird species. On your arrival at the park, you will check in at your reserved lodge to spend your evening relaxing. Dinner and an overnight

After having your morning breakfast, leave your lodge and drive to Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park for a mid-morning game drive to search for the unique tree climbing lions and candelabra trees with big branches that allow lions to hang up there.

Queen Elizabeth national park is one of the only two parks in Africa where you can find the tree climbing lions. During your game drive to search for the tree climbing lions, you may encounter other mammals like, herds of huge Elephants and Caped buffaloes, Topis, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs and others.

After your morning game drive, return to the northern sector of the park for your an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which is one of the most memorable experience once you have visited Queen Elizabeth national park.
Still, you will have an opportunity to encounter numerous water birds and mammals such as African crocodiles, hippopotamuses, waterbucks and others land mammals as they have come to drink water and swimming such as Buffaloes, Elephants and other among others.

Kazinga channel is known as the paradise for bird lovers and you will be able to spot a number of different bird species on the shores and others swimming.

Later after your boat cruise safari, have a short break to relax and then go for your evening game drive to search for more wildlife species and the more emphasis will be put on to search for the big predators of the park such as Leopards, Lions and others since evening time is when they come out of their thickets to start hunting.

After having your breakfast, leave the lodge and go for your early morning game drive through Kasenyi track which is proudly known as the mating ground for Uganda Kobs and hunting ground for the big predators such as lions, leopard and spotted hyenas.

During your morning game drive, you will have an opportunity to encounter a a number of wildlife species such as Elephants, Uganda kobs and other antelope species, Caped buffaloes, Warthogs, Forest giant hog, Lions, Leopard and many other species.

This park is a home to over 95 mammal species and over 600 bird species and one of the most popular wildlife destinations in Africa to have diverse ecosystems that include sprawling savanna, humid forests, shady, sparkling lakes, fertile wetlands, and Ishasha plains the home of the tree climbing loins.

After your early morning game drive, embark on your road drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Lake Mburo national park is the smallest park savannah park but beautiful and blessed with numerous small lakes, woodland vegetation, deep valleys and rolling hills which provides habitats to a variety of wild animals like Zebras, Hippopotamuses, Nile crocodiles, Buffaloes, Elands, Impala, Warthogs, Giraffes, Leopards, Spotted Hyenas and many others including over 300 bird species.

After relaxing, you will go for your night game drive, Lake Mburo national park is so one of the best places for a successful night game drive mostly to search for nocturnal species such as leopard, bush babies, porcupine, white tailed mongoose and Spotted hyenas and it will be so much interesting to meet any of the nocturnal in action. Day 7; Lake Mburo national Park – Morning horseback riding - Return to Entebbe international airport

Have a simple breakfast and go for your morning nature walk while horseback riding. Lake Mburo national park is the only park in Uganda where horseback riding can be done in the wilderness.

You will be able to watch a number of the park’s wildlife species such as Zebras, Elands, Buffaloes and Impala from a closer distance without being scared which makes it to be the best way of exploring the park and getting off the usual game drive tracks which enables you to encounter more than when using a vehicle.

After your horseback riding safari, return to for your full breakfast and later check out to embark on your drive back to Entebbe international airport with an en-route stop at Kayabwe Equator landmark.

At the Equator landmark, you will watch water experiment showing the movement of forces like on the northern hemisphere, waters rotate clockwise and rotate anticlockwise on the southern hemisphere whereby no rotation in the imaginary line because all forces from different points sink in, take a memorial photo at this landmark, have lunch and later continue with your drive straight to Entebbe international airport for your return flight and this will be the end of your 10 days best of Uganda safari.
